Initially, I was the person who supposedly manage this project for the whole class. Due to certain reasons, I've changed my position with Rais, our class representative which had done a very good job in leading the project. As his assistance, I've tried my best to help him through out the preparation period which I humbly give the applause to Rais as he was the one who managed most of the process rather than me myself.
Apart from that, I've learnt a lot of things especially in dealing with other people. Initially, my group (Group 6) was supposed to go to the kindergarten just like the other group. But due to a little bit of changes, we have been assigned to manage a booth with the name of Teddy Bear Hospital under the Malaysian Islamic Children Fair.
Basically, we will be doing the same activities as those who were doing the project at the kindergarten, the only different is we will need to entertain more kids as the expected amount of crowd that will come to the fair is 20,000!
Because of that, we have dealt with the other groups to use their items so that more kids can be entertained at the same time.
Again, such a troublesome am I when suddenly I had an emergency matter which doesn't allow me to join my group during the day. It was sad to know that I couldn't give much contribution towards my group as I know that I was not really a helper since day 1. I was hoping that I can pay back this guiltiness during the event day, unfortunately I can't.
The least that I can do is to help in setting up the booth on the day before the event together with Shahril and Dura. Although I didn't get the chance to be one of the crew during the event day, but I hope with this small amount of effort will contribute to the smoothness of the event.
As a whole, I really think that this kind of activity give a massive impact towards the children. As we know that children loves to play, education through games whereby they can experience it themselves is an effective method of teaching especially when we are trying to educate them with big matters such as this dengue issue. To have an experience being a doctor at their age will definitely teach them on the dos and donts when dealing with Aedes mosquitos.
Last but not least, I would like to thank everyone for this wonderful experience that we've gone through for this project. My deepest apology for not being a loyal member to the group and not being able to help most of the time. You guys deserve to get the satisfaction and happiness rather than me myself. I hope that what we have taught the children will also bring an impact to us to take care of our ourselves. Best of luck everyone.
