Before taking this social engagement class, I always think that parents should play a crucial role and take the responsibility towards their children to fight against the dengue fever including giving education and knowledge about this disease, the method of prevention of this disease, and the list goes on.
Yet, after attending the social engagement class last week, I realize that school, parents, government, NGO and the children themselves are all responsible in combating dengue. Knowingly, the children specially pre-school children, have been proven to learned fast and absorbed
knowledge faster. So Pre-school Combat Dengue Module (PSCD) is one of the way to create awareness on dengue among the pre-shool children.
During the class, we had shared many ideas among ourselves in order to make the children get fun in the learning process in the coming event. We hope they can learn more about dengue through games and interesting activities besides create awareness on dengue among themselves.
In short, the number of death due to the dengue virus is getting higher from days to days. I hope all citizens would put their efforts to combat dengue.
